Year 1 Exam
First year students will be given a mandatory 100 question written exam on Thursday afternoon at 3:45pm. Students should not plan to depart from Oglebay prior to 4:45pm on Thursday. In order to advance to the second year of the program, students must achieve a score of at least 70%.
Year 2 Capstone Simulation
The Capstone simulation is designed to help participants assimilate knowledge and information imparted in Year I and II of the institute. Small working groups will be assigned from the registered students. Group assignments will be given during orientation.
The groups will be provided a scenario and background information. Each group will be required to develop a formal written and oral presentation based on this information. Participants will be allowed some class time to work on their capstone simulation but should expect that most of the preparation for the project will happen outside of class.
All Capstone groups are required to print a hard copy of their presentation for instructor review. Oglebay has one printer available for this purpose so be sure to plan ahead to avoid any last minute conflicts with other groups who might also be using the printer.
Dress Code
April outdoor temperatures in West Virginia will vary and a reminder that inside the resort rooms are often on the cooler side so dress in layers for your own comfort. Business casual is the accepted dress code during the program, but Year 2 and Grad Capstone Sim students are expected to present their Capstone Simulation work product in formal business attire.
