Air Medical Transport Conference (AMTC™)

Medical Transport Leadership Institute (MTLI™)
The Medical Transport Leadership Institute (MTLI™) at Oglebay National Training Center provides an intensive continuing
education experience and certification for individuals currently managing medical transportation services, those seeking management positions, and others with direct and indirect involvement who desire greater understanding of this dynamic profession.
The Institute operates with a rigorous approach to competency-based education, utilizing formal classroom hours, mandatory participation, written testing and oral presentations. Graduates of the two-year program will receive certification as a Certified
Medical Transport Executive (CMTE). Each year, the MTLI also offers a graduate program through which a minimum of 20 Management Education Units (MEU’s) can be earned toward the CMTE re-certification. This training is held annually in Wheeling,
West Virginia.

Safety Management Training Academy (SMTA™)
The Academy provides formal continuing education for individuals (and their organizations) interested in improving their
understanding of safety systems theory and the application of that theory to the practice of medical transportation. Students will gain expertise and practical skills through formal didactic and participatory sessions designed to instill creative
thinking and decision-making. Participants also obtain valuable insight into real life challenges by networking with industry leaders. The Academy operates with a rigorous approach to competency-based education, utilizing formal classroom hours, mandatory
student participation, written testing, and a code of professional conduct. Due to the demands of the program, students will be expected to complete out-of-classroom assignments. All SMTA Year 2 students who complete the course will be given access
to the MTSP-C Exam at no additional charge. The exam will now be included in the SMTA tuition price.

Leadership Incident Fortification Training (LIFT)
The LIFT Institute is a program for emergency medical transport providers, developed by the Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS) and the Oglebay National Training Center, to provide air and ground leaders with a foundational skillset to effectively manage crises. Adverse clinical events, air and ground vehicle crashes, high-impact, sentinel events or other crises can make or break individuals and organizations. This institute aims to arm leaders with the tools and resources necessary to manage events in a way that minimizes damage and maximizes learning by addressing key concepts on the continuum from risk mitigation to preparation to response and recovery.

Critical Care Transport Academy (CCTA)
The Association of Air Medical Services is excited to announce the first Critical Care Transport Academy (CCTA) starting
in July of 2020. The original Academy began in 2016 with the goal of providing education and training developed and presented by volunteer flight crew members from around the country. The program has evolved and now consists of a 40-week structured
program with scenario-based evaluations, individual assignments, and group assignments with the goal of providing a solid foundation, tools to face the challenges of flight crew orientation, interview practice sessions and a collaborative approach
to helping academy graduates find a program that is the best fit for them. Students who complete the CCTA program will earn the Certified Medical Transport Professional (CMTP) accreditation.
Available only to AAMS members, these sessions are FREE and designed for professional development
in a broad variety of areas - leadership, management, patient care, safety, HR, and MORE! The time commitment is minimal - typically 1 hour - and each session will be available live or on-demand after the fact at your convenience. Simply pick and choose which sessions are of interest!
