September Message from Kolby Kolbet, AAMS Interim CEO

Greetings fellow members of the industry,

I am hoping this email finds you well. Thank you for taking the time to read my message as I know how full each of your inboxes must be and how busy you are dealing with day-to-day operations. Our board has been hard at work rebuilding relationships and working diligently to bring additional value. While our industry is fractured, I am confident that this new generation of leaders will succeed to reunite our industry to solve new issues that did not exist 20 years ago. Coming together as an industry is what our workforce needs and deserves so we can focus on what matters most: our patients.

Our board will be gathering in person at the AAMS office, fully supported by their respective organizations, to ensure that this association provides value to its members. As I mentioned in last week’s town hall session, the AAMS board of directors would appreciate your feedback. My thanks to those members and industry partners who have already voiced their questions and concerns. I want to assure you that we hear you, and we are taking your feedback into consideration as the Board enters our strategic planning session later this week. It is important that the Board hears from ALL current and former members. To that end: 

1. Please take the time to complete our brief survey HERE.
2. Please plan on attending a special AAMS Town Hall for all program leaders - TOMORROW, September 20th at 2 pm ET. This session will be an interactive, open forum format which will foster collaboration and a means to share constructive feedback. You will be able to participate directly, without using the chat or Q&A feature. Please register below and bring your feedback and suggestions to the table.

I'd like to offer a special thank you to those programs that are providing the support behind the scenes for board members to attend our in-person strategic planning session next week. The AAMS Board looks forward to sharing our strategic plan with the AAMS members in the days ahead.
