AAMS has learned that the American Medical Association (AMA) as well as the American Hospital Association (AHA) have filed a lawsuit against the Departments of Health and Human Services, Treasury, and Labor regarding the Departments’ regulations implementing the No Surprises Act. This lawsuit follows those already filed by the Texas Medical Association and the Association of Air Medical Services. AAMS fully agrees with AMA and AHA that these legal challenges “seek to preserve access to care” and that the Department’s regulations “would reduce it”.
AAMS continues to work closely with these organizations and the larger healthcare community on this and other issues affecting our shared community.
