Greetings AAMS Members,

As the Chair of the AAMS Nominations Committee, I’m pleased to announce that the election of representatives for the 2019 – 2021 term on the AAMS board has come to a close, and we would like to introduce our newly elected board members! Regions 1, 2, 5, 6 and 7 and three Director At-Large Seats were up for election. The board members will be sworn into office during the AAMS Membership Meeting at the 2019 AMTC in Atlanta, Georgia.

     
Michael Griffiths, RN, CFRN, CEN was reelected as AAMS Region 1 Director. Michael has been reelected to the AAMS Board.  Mr. Griffiths serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Life Flight Network. He has been with Life Flight Network since 2002. Mike’s 22 years experience in the air medical industry will remain a great asset to the AAMS Board and its continued growth.  
     
Dustin Windle, RN, CFRN, CMTE has been elected as the AAMS Region 2 Director. Dustin currently serves as the Program Director for Guardian Air Transport in Flagstaff Arizona. He also holds the positions of president of Arizona AAMS  and is the Air Director for the Arizona Ambulance Association. His experience in providing a unified voice in the current healthcare and political climates will be a great quality on the AAMS Board.  
     
Anthony Pellicone, EMT-P, CMTE has been elected as the AAMS Region 5 Director. Anthony is currently the Associate Executive Director of the Southside Hospital/Northwell Health of Bayshore, NY. Anthony has been an active member of the industry over 20 years and has served as a past president of IAFCCP and member of several industry related boards and organizations. He strongly believes in bringing together those shared resources in one unified voice.  
     
Susan Rivers, RN, BSN, EMT-B, CMTE, CFRN, has been reelected as the Region 6 Director. Susan is the Program Director at Carilion Clinic Life-Guard in Roanoke, Virginia. She has over 20 years’ experience in the industry. Susan serves as the crossover member for AAMS and the MedEvac Foundation International boards. Her background, along with her leadership skills, will be a great asset to the AAMS Board and its continued growth.  
Russell MacDonald, MD, MPH, FCFP, FRCPC, has been reelected as the AAMS Region 7 Director. Russell is the Medical Director, Quality and Research at Ornge Transport Medicine in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. He comes to the board with more than 20 years of experience in government, administrative, and academic. Russell serves on numerous AAMS Committees. The board looks forward to his international perspective on the industry.  
     
David Richardson, MBA, has been reelected to one of the AAMS Director At-Large Positions. Dave, a returning board member, is the Senior Vice President of the Air Medical Service Division at Air Methods, in Englewood, Colorado. He brings with him to the board over 18 years’ experience in health care management. His active leadership in the industry will be a great continued addition to the AAMS Board.  
     
Frankie Toon, RN, BSN, CFRN, CMTE, has been reelected to one of the AAMS Director At-Large Positions. Frankie, a returning board member, is the Program Director at AirMed, University of Utah, in Salt Lake City. Frankie has been involved in the air medical industry for over the past 14 years. The board is excited to have Frankie as one of the At-Large Directors. With her dedication and passion for the industry these are qualities the board respects.  
     
Martin Arkus, CMTE has been newly elected to one of the AAMS Director At-Large Positions. Marty is currently the Regional Director for Air Medical Group Holdings in Tucson, Arizona. He is a proven leader within the industry and has previously served on the AAMS Board. He is eager again to apply his industry skills and contacts to helping support AAMS’s mission statement, explicitly fostering public support for the Air Medical and Critical Care Ground Transport Industry.
