Greetings AAMS Members,
As the Chair of the AAMS Nominations Committee, I’m pleased to announce that the election of representatives for the 2018 – 2020 term on the AAMS board has come to a close, and we would like to introduce our newly elected board members! Regions 3, 4 and two Director At-Large Seats were up for election. The board members will be sworn into office during the AAMS Membership Meeting at the 2018 AMTC in Phoenix, Arizona.
Sherri Dean, BSN, MHA has been elected as AAMS Region 3 Director. Sherri, a first time AAMS Board member, is the Regional Director for Strategic Growth for PHI Air Medical, L.L.C. She has over 10 years’ experience as a leader in the medical transport industry. She is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, as well as other associations. Sherri’s commitment to improve safety will benefit the AAMS Board mission.
Deborah Boudreaux, MSN, RN, LP, CCRN, CMTE, C-NPT was re-elected as AAMS Region 4 Director. Debbie is the Assistant Vice President of Nursing at Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX. She is an active member of Nurses Executive Council, President of Texas AAMS, and Chair of AAMS KIDS SIG. Debbie also serves as the Vice Chair on the AAMS Executive Committee. Debbie’s passion to better the industry will continue to add to the AAMS Board.
René Borghese, MSN, RN, CMTE, was re-elected to one of the AAMS Director At-Large Positions. René is the Administrative Director for Duke University Hospital Life Flight in Durham, NC. She serves as the Treasurer on the AAMS Executive Committee and sits on the MedEvac Foundation International Board of Trustees. René’s background, along with her leadership skills, will continue to be a great asset to the AAMS Board and its continued growth.
Christopher Hall, B.S., FP-C, CMTE, has been re-elected to the AAMS Board as the second AAMS Director At-Large position. Chris is the Manager of Government Affairs and Industry Relations for PHI Air Medical, L.L.C. in Phoenix, AZ. He is currently serving as Chair for the AAMS Membership Committee and AAMS Education and Standards Committee. Chris’ dedication to the medical transport industry will continue to add value to the AAMS Board.
